The Casino Cafe - Fine Dining Ocean Front, Where the Trip across the Great South Bay adds to the Relaxing and Delicious Dining Experience

Celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a beautiful spot to have a relaxing drink, dine, talk with friends, and just watch the sunset, the Casino Café is the place. The Casino Café is located in Davis Park, Fire Island a short ferry ride from Patchogue, New York. You can take the Davis Park Ferry http://www.davisparkferry.com/  from Brookhaven Town’s Sandspit Marina on Brightwood Street, Patchogue.

After boarding the ferry you can’t help but to relax, the natural beauty of the Patchogue River, the Great South Bay and Fire Island sets your mind at ease. The twenty minute ride will bring you to the Davis Park Marina, and a stroll on the bay-to-ocean boardwalk will bring you to the Casino Café, atop a dune commanding a view of the bay, the ocean and almost the entire community.
Entering the Casino Cafe a hostess will confirm your reservation, and escort you to perhaps an Oceanside Table, on the deck jutting out of the dune with views of the entire coastline. Maybe a seat at Edja's Martini Bar just a few steps above the main dining room for a starter, a cocktail and a view of the ocean. Better yet, a table in the Mainland Sunset Room with amazing views of the sunset over Long Island. The Casino Cafe is cooled by ocean breezes and large ceiling fans and the walls are adorned with artwork from local artists.
We were seated in the main room a table back from the expansive windows showcasing the ocean below. We started with a wonderful glass of Chardonnay as we reviewed the menu which presented a large selection of fresh seafood, steak and pasta dishes, with a daily specials menu read by our server.

We enjoyed the baked clam appetizer, the porcini dusted sea scallops from the small bites section, and an amazing avocado and crabmeat salad. Our entrees included perfectly cooked clams and chorizo sausage linguini served in a tomato red pepper broth, and a grilled Berkshire pork chop with a potato terrine and balsamic maple caramel.

We had a fabulous meal and although we choose to forgo dessert, we viewed other patrons enjoying Crème Brule and a fresh berry pie that looked spectacular. We move to the bar for an after-dinner drink before our walk down to the ferry for our ride home.

The Casino Café has been serving Davis Park, Leja Beach and Ocean Ridge, Fire Island since 1945, you can read more about the Casino Café on their Ad on Patchogue.com or visit their website at CasinoCafeFireIsland.com.

Reeses 1900 Pub - Great Burgers, Comfortable Bar and a Sense of Belonging

They say when you go out to eat you should order from the specials menu, because the chef is excited to cook what is listed there. But in this case you need to order the Reese's 1900 Burger. Listed under famous burgers on the menu what they say is true. The 1900 Burger is fresh ground beef, broiled to perfection, then topped with crisp bacon and your choice of Bleu, Swiss, Cheddar or American cheese. My personal favorite is Blue cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, and bacon, served with a side of onion rings. The 1900 is consistently prepared as requested, so when you crave a great burger, you always get a great burger. I would be remiss if I did not mention the amazing pickles and creamy coleslaw that arrives just before the burger does, and the selection of beer, one for everyone taste bud.

Reese's 1900 has charm, fine American Pub fare and the feel of an old Irish neighborhood pub. Reese's 1900 has been a favorite gathering place for people across Suffolk County for more than 39 years. Centrally located in the Village of Patchogue, Reese's is within walking distance to many shops and the Patchogue Theater for the performing arts. See Reese's 1900 Pub ad on
Patchogue.com or visit their website at www.Reeses1900Pub.com. Matthew Lowe and Patrick Palmeri invite you to stop in, tip a pint and relax while soaking up some of the ambiance of days gone by.
